The FHA Connection's key user information (Getting Started) and training References sections are presented directly on the Home page to be immediately available (Figure 1). At any point in your use of the FHA Connection, you can click the HUD FHA Connection logo or Home in the page header to reach the Getting Started and References links.

Getting Started (FHA Connection Home page)

The Getting Started section of the FHA Connection Home page (Figure 1) includes:
About This Site: Succinct overview of the use of the FHA Connection for FHA-approved lenders, HUD personnel, and HUD's business partners to originate and service FHA-insured single family home mortgages, update lender information, and access databases and resources relevant to these processes.
Registering a New User: Detailed treatment of how to register a new user and how to register Application Coordinator(s) who perform a required user administration role in the registration process. Organized by user type.

The References section of the FHA Connection Home page (Figure 1) includes:
Frequently Asked Questions - on ID maintenance, registration, sign on, Single Family Origination, Single Family Servicing, and other categories
Quick Start Guide - (this guide) providing key information and directing you to detailed training on using the more than 100 functions and HUD resources available via the FHA Connection. Formerly called the FHA Connection Guide, the name is changed to Quick Start Guide to underscore its role in putting facts at your fingertips and comprehensive information resources just one click away. View online or print.
FHA Connection Guide - containing in-depth, illustrated training designed to explain and illustrate the use of Single Family FHA loan processing applications and processes.The FHA Connection Guide modules also provide instruction on how to register to obtain an FHA Connection user ID, how to become authorized to sign on and use functions, how to change your password, and links to HUD lender resource pages. (Formerly called the Mortgagee Packet, the name is changed to reflect the in-depth training it presents and its use as a Web-based training tool. Delivered in portable document format (PDF), the FHA Connection Guide may be viewed online, printed, or saved as a full color, high quality reference resource.)
