Frequently Asked Questions - Case Cancellation

 

All FHA Homeownership Centers are now utilizing new procedures for certain types of FHA case processing requests. The following case processing request types will fall under these new requirements:

  • Case Cancellation
  • Case Transfer
  • Case Reinstatement
  • Mortgage Insurance Certificate (MIC) corrections

Requests of this type will now be sent through the FHA Resource Center (email: answers@hud.gov) and utilize specific templates for each processing type. To obtain additional case processing instructions and to download the new templates, please visit the following web site:

Please ensure that the templates and all required information are included in the email request. Failure to do so will delay the processing time of your request.
