Frequently Asked Questions - Appraisal Logging

Q1: When I complete and submit the "Appraisal Logging" page, I receive the error "ACCESS DENIED; USER ID NOT AUTHORIZED FOR APPRAISAL LOGGING". How do I become authorized?
A1: If you get this error, your FHA Connection Application Coordinator has not set the Appraisal Processing authorization on your FHA Connection user ID to "Add/Update". Please contact your FHA Connection Application Coordinator and request that they set the Appraisal Processing authorization to "Add/Update" on your FHA Connection user ID. If you do not know who that person is, please refer to the question "I do not know who my FHA Connection Application Coordinator is. How can I find out who that is and how to contact them?" in the General Questions section of the Frequently Asked Questions.
Q2: When I submit the "Appraisal Logging" page, I receive an error that says, "LICENSE ID DOES NOT EXIST". How do I get the "Appraisal Logging" to accept the license ID?
A2: The license ID must be entered exactly as the license ID is listed with HUD. Please go to the Appraisers page on HUD's web site and perform a query on the appraiser's last name to see how their license ID is listed on HUD's systems.
Q3: When I submit the "Appraisal Logging" page, I receive an error that says, "STATE LICENSE HAS EXPIRED". I have a copy of the appraiser's license ID and the expired date has not been reached. How can I get the "Appraisal Logging" to accept the license ID?
A3: Please fax a copy of the appraiser's renewed license to (202) 708-6969 so that they may update the appraiser's record with HUD.
