Research Information Using the FHA Connection

Use the following FHA Connection business tasks to research and gather supporting information. Place your mouse cursor over an item below to get more information.

ADP Codes Selection or ADP Codes Use ADP Codes Selection or ADP Codes to find the appropriate Automated Data Processing (ADP) code for processing the mortgage for FHA insurance. See Site Map. Research Papers
Appraisers Use Appraisers to find an FHA-approved appraiser and license ID. See Site Map.
CAIVRS Authorization Use CAIVRS Authorization to check if the borrower has a Federal loan that is currently in default or foreclosure or has had a claim paid by a reporting Federal agency within the last three years. See Site Map.
Condominiums If the property is a condominium, use Condominiums to determine if it is FHA-approved and get the condominium ID and phase information. See Site Map.
Counseling CertificateIf necessary, use Counseling Certificate to get the nine-digit number issued through the FHA Connection for the completed Certificate of HECM Counseling, form HUD-92902. See Site Map.
HECM Calculator Once an FHA case number is assigned to the mortgage (for lenders) or a housing counseling certificate is issued (for counselors), HECM Calculator on the FHA Connection can be used to calculate the principal limit of a HECM, analyze and compare different payment options, save data, and generate reports. Sponsored Originator Maintenance Use Sponsored Originator Maintenance to establish a mortgage banker (including an FHA-approved lender) or mortgage broker as a sponsored originator. Once established, the mortgage banker or broker (sponsored originator) can originate mortgages for an FHA-approved lender (sponsor). See Site Map.
